Melodic Shapes Flashcards help students play, hear, see, and create their own basic melodic patterns.
Using the piano's twin and triplet black keys to play these patterns, students develop music-reading skills, a feel for the keyboard's geography, and a sense of the sound of different melodic patterns.
Graphics help students hear and see the shape of each short melody. Students then transition from reading graphics to reading notated patterns on the reverse of each card.
